Here’s what last year’s class had to say about the course:

"Learned a lot of good and applicable information"
"Wide range of application in industry"
"Passionate staff who are experts in their fields"
"An excellent introduction to the many aspects of robotics, especially for the 'uneducated' in this area"

Robotic technologies are expanding into new markets as their capabilities improve and their price drops. The National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC) applies robotics to an unparalleled range of systems. Over the past 18 years, NREC scientists and engineers have developed a keen understanding of how to use robotics to solve challenging real-world problems.

Our 2 ½-day course gives you a chance to learn about the state of the practice in robotics.  Applications and case studies show how currently-available technologies can solve the thorniest automation problems.

Course Objectives

1.   Understand mobile robotic systems and how they’ve been applied in military, mining, agricultural, and other industrial settings.
2.   Learn the strengths and weaknesses of robotic technologies and how they can be applied to solve challenging operations problems and add exciting new product capabilities.
3.   Learn techniques to assess the suitability and payback of robotic technologies via case studies across many domains and applications..
