Our competitive internship program is an opportunity to work on projects for companies across the globe, connect with experts in your field, and cultivate unique skillsets. What will you accomplish during a summer in Pittsburgh's "Robotics Row"?
Summer internships at NREC typically last 12-14 weeks from mid May to mid August. Soak up some knowledge (and pizza) during regular lunch & learn seminars, expand your technical skills taking classes in the machine shop, and participate in off site team building activities. Previous intern cohorts have gone bowling, kayaked on the Allegheny River just steps away from our building, and spent a day at Kennywood Theme Park.

Sandwiched between Bloomfield and the Strip District, Lawrenceville is one of Pittsburgh's largest neighborhoods and is home of the National Robotics Engineering Center. Lawrenceville has several trendy bars and restaurants as well as art galleries, cafes and design studios. NREC employees frequently visit the seasonal Farmers Market across the street at Bay 41.
